Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 17, 2026
1. Acceptance
SongSyntax 101 is operated by Simon Watson ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions are a legal agreement between you and Simon Watson.
By creating an account or using SongSyntax 101 (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Permitted Use
Memberships are sold for personal, individual use only. You may not purchase, register, or use an account:
- on behalf of a company, business, or other commercial organization for team use;
- on behalf of a school, university, class, or other educational institution for group use;
- on behalf of a government body, non-profit, or other organization for shared use; or
- for sharing between multiple people (one account = one person).
You must be of legal age to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear to be used by an organization or shared across users, without refund beyond what is required by Paddle's refund policy.
If you are interested in team, classroom, or organizational licensing, please contact us — this is not offered through standard memberships.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Misuse
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- engage in fraud, spam, or abuse;
- infringe the intellectual property rights of others;
- interfere with the Service's security or availability (e.g. malware, probing, scraping); or
- reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or circumvent its technical limits.
5. Intellectual Property
We retain all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, content, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan for personal use.
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses AI to help you craft prompts for music generators. Outputs may be inaccurate or unsuitable for a given use. You are responsible for your prompts, for how you use outputs, for verifying their accuracy, and for having the rights to any content you provide as input. Do not use the Service to create unlawful content, deepfakes, hateful content, malware, or to jailbreak or misuse third-party AI systems.
7. Payments, Billing & Refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. To request a refund or manage your subscription, visit paddle.net.
8. Service Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations — including use by an organization or account sharing.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
